Welcome to GriefSpan, where you’ll find compassionate support and guidance to help you
navigate through the challenging journey of grief, loss and difficult life moments.

I’m Moira Khan, and as a Certified Grief Educator, I am here to listen and support, whatever your loss, trauma or event in your life that is taking you on a grief journey.

What is a Grief Educator?

A Certified Grief Educator provides personalised support, through a time in your life that can be consuming and overwhelming. A Grief Educator is trained to help you gain a better understanding and provide you with the tools and insights to help navigate your loss or your specific period of grief.

We provide support, compassion, empathy and an invaluable presence, that sometimes people close to you cannot provide, due to a lack of understanding, and the feelings you are experiencing.

What is GriefSpan?

GriefSpan has evolved from a place of loss, trauma and desire to help others. Moira lost her mother in 2014, Brother in 2017 and Father in 2019. An accumulation of grief that broke her each and every time. Moira refused to accept that grief would define her as a person, and although you are never the same again, when a loved one dies, it is healing.

Moira’s strength, passion and ability to build a life beyond the grief and help others while doing it, is what shapes GriefSpan.

What is Grief?

Everyone suffers grief at one time or more in their life. Grief is not just a reference to loss of a loved one, it can be a trauma suffered, a diagnosis, divorce or separation, loss of a pet or a friend, or even change in living locations or life situations, even the pandemic. Sensations of grief can be overwhelming, and strong, and there is a temptation to push those emotions aside or conform to society expectations, carry on like nothing has happened, or don´t express your emotion.

Moira is a trained Certified Grief Educator, who knows only too well the feelings and emotions that can come when you least expect them. Moira understands the need for compassion, and self-compassion to heal, no matter how long the journey. Each person is unique in their grief.

Individual Sessions with Moira

Individualized Support Tailored to You

Individual sessions provide a one-on-one, personaliszed, experience with Moira. In these sessions, you will receive:

  • Personalized Guidance: Tailored support to address your unique needs and challenges.
  • Focused Attention: A safe space to express your feelings and thoughts openly.
  • Holistic Healing: Comprehensive support for your emotional well-being throughout the grieving process.

Grief Groups

In group sessions, individuals come together in a supportive community. Sharing their experiences with others and finding a common ground, which can provide comfort and a sense of connection to ease that feeling of loneliness. It is a space for shared healing and understanding.

If you are interested in attending a grief group on-line, this is something we will also offer. Details of any upcoming groups, will be posted here, when and as they are available.
